The ӣƵ Research Institute (ӣƵRI) serves as the organizational foundation for growing ӣƵ’s applied research partnerships with U.S. mission agencies and industry. Created in Spring 2022, ӣƵRI’s mission is to facilitate and support research teams of faculty, research staff and students in meeting the special needs and requirements of mission agencies such that all participants receive value, long-term relationships are developed, and ӣƵ programs benefit.

What Support does ӣƵRI Provide?

ӣƵRI Supports faculty on select mission agency efforts from project development through execution. We do this by providing:

Project & Team Development
  • Match ӣƵ Faculty Capability to Sponsor Needs
  • ӣƵ & Multi-University Faculty Teaming
  • Coordination with OSRD, SPA, Government Relations
Project Execution Support
  • Project Management both pre and post award supporting professional execution and outward and inward-facing relationships.
  • Facilitation of the planning and execution of projects requiring research security compliance, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)  and Export Control.
  • Information on how to look out for and plan for CUI in your projects [link underlined to a page with the contents of CUI Information Doc]
